Join The Library
If you live, work or study in Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset. Somerset or South Gloucestershire you can join the library online.
The LibrariesWest partners take their responsibilities under the Data Protection Act very seriously and your information will always be handled confidentially and will not be made available to anyone without your knowledge and consent. We ensure that the information is held securely and is protected from unauthorised access.
You have the right to access the information that we hold about you at any time by applying in writing to your local library.
How to join online
Select the library that you wish to use as your home base from the list below. Once you have joined you will be able to use any of the libraries in LibrariesWest.
When you have entered your details you will be given a temporary membership number and PIN (Personal Identification Number). You can use these straight away to reserve items from our catalogue, but you will need to validate your membership in a library before being able to borrow items or use our range of online resources (including downloadable audiobooks).
If you are already a member of any LibrariesWest library you do not need to join again. Your card is now valid in all our libraries.

What do I do if I lose my membership card?
If you lose your membership card, you should let any LibrariesWest library know as soon as possible. It is important that you do this as soon as you discover the card is lost so that we can prevent anyone else from using it.
When you next visit a library, you will need some proof of identity and we will give you a replacement card, for which we may need to charge a small fee.
Until you have told us, you are responsible for any items borrowed on the card.
